philodendron wizard Philodendron White Wizard | PlantsWhat separates Philodendron White Wizard from its variegated siblings (White Knight and White Princess) is its stems. They are solid green, without the dark purple or pink colouring of the others. The foliage is where the drama sits. Large, glossy leaves carry bold sectors and splashes of pure white variegation against deep green, creating a high contrast pattern that varies from leaf to leaf. What separates Philodendron White Wizard from its variegated siblings (White Knight and White Princess) is its stems. They are solid green, without the dark purple or pink colouring of the others. The foliage is where the drama sits. Large, glossy leaves carry bold sectors and splashes of pure white variegation against deep green, creating a high-contrast pattern that varies from leaf to leaf. It is a climbing Philodendron that benefits from a moss pole to encourage larger leaves and more vigorous growth.
Origins
A cultivar of Philodendron erubescens, native to the tropical rainforests of Colombia and Ecuador.
Soil and Substrate
Our Monstera and Philodendron Premium Potting Mix is peat-free and formulated for climbing Philodendrons: open structure with worm castings for steady nutrition. Brighter light encourages more white variegation, but avoid direct sun which will scorch the white tissue.
