Besides being among the hardiest of its kind, this aptly named fragrant Gardenia is a gorgeous evergreen shrub with a strong root system and a classically rich Gardenia fragrance. Oh, and did we mention her versatile dwarf habit? This Hardy Gardenia thrives in containers, raised beds, and in the foreground of borders.
Smooth, glossy, dark green leaves make a grand statement, growing slowly in a rounded mound to 2-3 feet tall and wide. The foliage is beautiful on its own but gains extra appeal when the showy, pure-white blooms arrive. The elegant, star-like flowers create a striking contrast against the foliage that's impossible to ignore. Enjoy this timeless spectacle from June to October, and you'll quickly understand why Gardenias are among the most adored plants in America!
