Gynura Auranti – The Potted Purple Passion
A striking plant deserves a striking name. The Gynura Auranti is also known as the Purple Passion or the Velvet Plant. This plant boasts beautiful leaves – its luxurious purple foliage instantly transforms any room into a dynamic, artistic oasis!
Plant Personality & Aesthetic Appeal
The Gynura Auranti gets its moniker from its distinctively fuzzy purple leaves. The purple hues stand out, and there are subtle green margins to complement them. Its gracefully trailing stems lend a natural, artistic charm ideal for boho, modern, or minimalist interiors. Consider showcasing it on shelves, office desks, bedroom dressers, or even kitchen countertops. The Gynura Auranti’s colours make it so that it can blend in with the other plants in your garden or stand out. It’s all in where you place them.
Growth Behaviour & Size Potential
This plant can be grown as a houseplant or a trailing plant. In the latter case, its vines can extend or grow up to 1 to 1.5 metres. The Gynura Auranti also has a moderate growth, and it will benefit from regular trimming. Train it along a low support or allow it to drape from a hanging basket. A medium-sized pot with ample drainage is ideal for supporting its thriving, spreading roots and balanced development.
Light Requirements & Adaptability
Gynura Auranti thrives in bright, indirect light that accentuates its vivid purple colour. While it can tolerate lower lighting conditions, that may reflect in the dimming of its leaves, but that’s not to say it won’t be a happy camper regardless. You are welcome to put it on window sills or balconies, but do make sure no direct sunlight gets to it. Imagine your balcony rails with this lovely plant trailing on them? Lovely!
Care Level & Maintenance Tips
Gynura Auranti plants prefer evenly moist and well-draining soil. Check the topsoil. If it’s too dry, a little watering might be necessary. Though don’t overwater, that could lead to root rot. This plant needs a watchful eye at first but, once you both find your rhythm, watering should be a breeze. The Gynura Auranti also likes to eat, so feed it some liquid fertiliser to make sure it grows.
If you have curious pets and grabby toddlers, best keep this plant out of their reach. This plant can be toxic when ingested.

Easy to assemble, is not see through and seems sturdy. The optional wheels are a nice touch.

Perfect solution
Color: Black, Size: 2 Large Panels, Color: Black, Size: 2 Large Panels
Was a perfect solution to blocking off a part of a room for guest stay. My only wish was a bag for it to go in while not in use. Right now we’ve got it tucked away in a corner where it’s waiting to be used again.
I put one wheel through a wooden partition gate (for dogs) and pushed a couch up against it and it held great keeping young kids out of the room. Though the dog figured it out pretty quickly haha
I love the fabric in between the sections as well as the fact that they can be completely separate for individual use as needed. Makes it very useful in more scenarios.

Great Divider, bad instructions
Color: Black, Size: 1 Large Panel
Happy with this as a room divider. Good price point and sturdy. I suggest skipping the directions and using common sense! The steps are made complicated when they are not ... and if you follow the directions you will have to go back and fix the skipped step of inserting the rods into the screen BEFORE securing the frame. Would buy again.
