acorn squash plants in pots Table Queen Acorn Squash SeedlingsA fall staple. This open pollinated acorn squash is perfect for crisp fall days. It's the first to ripen and doesn't store as long as other squashes, so it's perfect for transitioning from summer fare into fall meals. Traditional preparation includes roasting and stuffing. Plants are smaller than other winter squash types, making it a good choice for gardens with space limitations.
