Summary: Dracaena 'Lemon Surprise' Baby brings a fresh burst of lime-green colour to shelves, desks, and small corners that need life. This compact, easy-care houseplant is perfect for European homes and especially suited to German apartments thanks to its tidy growth and forgiving nature.

✨ Why You'll Love the Dracaena 'Lemon Surprise' Baby

  • Striking narrow leaves with bright green and yellow variegation
  • Compact baby size, ideal for windowsills, desks, and plant shelves
  • Low-maintenance choice for beginners and busy plant parents
  • Works beautifully in modern, minimalist, and urban jungle interiors
  • Perfect for small-space living in European homes
  • Pot size: P6
  • Height: approx. 12 cm

🌞 Light & Placement

Place your Dracaena 'Lemon Surprise' Baby in bright, indirect light for the best leaf colour and healthy growth. It can tolerate medium light, making it a great indoor plant for European homes, but avoid intense direct midday sun, which may scorch the foliage. In darker German apartments, position it close to a bright window or supplement with a grow light during winter.

💧 Water & Humidity

Let the top layer of soil dry slightly between waterings. Dracaenas prefer evenly lightly moist soil, but they do not like sitting in water. Water a little less during the colder months, when growth slows down in most European interiors. Average household humidity is usually enough, though occasional misting or a nearby humidifier can help keep the leaf tips looking fresh.

🪴 Soil & Potting

Use a light, well-draining houseplant mix that allows air around the roots. A blend with potting soil, perlite, and a little bark works well. Because this is a baby plant in a small nursery pot, wait until roots begin to fill the pot before repotting. Choose a pot with drainage holes to help prevent overwatering.

🐾 Toxicity & Safety

Not pet-safe. Like other Dracaena varieties, 'Lemon Surprise' is considered toxic to cats and dogs if chewed or ingested. Keep it out of reach of curious pets and small children.

🌱 Growth & Propagation

This Dracaena has an upright, clumping growth habit and stays neat and architectural, especially when young. Over time, it can develop into a more sculptural indoor plant with slender stems and colourful foliage. Propagation is usually done through stem cuttings or cane cuttings, though this is easier once the plant is more mature.

📆 Seasonal & Special Care

During spring and summer, feed once a month with a diluted green plant fertiliser to support healthy new growth. In autumn and winter, reduce watering and pause feeding, as lower light levels across Europe can slow development. Keep away from cold drafts, radiators, and sudden temperature swings.

🐛 Common Issues

  • Brown leaf tips: often caused by dry air, inconsistent watering, or mineral-heavy tap water
  • Yellowing leaves: usually a sign of overwatering
  • Faded variegation: may mean the plant needs more bright, indirect light
  • Pests: watch for spider mites or mealybugs, especially in dry indoor conditions

🧬 Botanical Background

Dracaena 'Lemon Surprise' is a cultivated variety prized for its vibrant striped foliage and easy-going temperament. It belongs to the Dracaena group, a popular choice for indoor plant lovers who want strong form, reliable growth, and low-fuss care. Its bold variegation makes it an eye-catching accent plant even at baby size.

great water shoe!
Size: 7 Women/6 Men, Color: 3f-410 Rose Red
I absolutely loved these water shoes! They are surprisingly very comfortable and slip resistant. The sole is very thick and the material is pretty quick to dry. I purchased them for my cruise port excursions and wore them dry, in the water, and walked around after being in the water—no blisters or uncomfortable rubbing. I would say they are maybe a little on the larger side for women. I can range anywhere from a 7, 7.5 to an 8. I purchased a size women’s 7/men’s 6 and it was perfect. I am excited to wear these at the beach and in the creek this summer!

Great Find
Size: 8, Color: Blue
Cute, comfortable, colorful have soft straps. I was very surprised by the both the quality and comfort of these Flip Flops. The price is so affordable that I bought several pairs in other colors. They are light weight, have ample arch support, fit true to size and can be worn with jeans, short or a casual dress. They really do look just as good as any of the high-priced brands.

Overall, these are some of the most comfortable flip flops I have owned, and would buy again.
Size: 6.5, Color: White Khaki
I was so happy with these KuaiLu Flip Flops that I bought two more pair, one in black and one in brown! They were comfortable right out of the box and did not need any break-in time. The arch support is excellent and gives my feet much better support than regular flip flops. They are also light weight, well made, and cute enough to wear with many different outfits. The soles have good traction, and they feel sturdy when walking.

Nice Flip Flops for the Price!
Size: 7.5, Color: White Khaki, Size: 7.5, Color: White Khaki
I just received my flip flops and tried them on, and they have a nice cushiony feel to them. The white color matches many of my outfits great. And while the fit is generally good, they could be a bit wider as I have wide feet. But they still feel comfortable.

runs big
Size: 7.5, Color: Camel
I am always a size 8 in boots, sandals, sneakers and read these ran large so ordered a size 7.5. They are still too big on me. I sent back for a 7 and I will update when I get those. They are very, very cute and comfortable! I love the cloth that goes over the foot!! That makes them seem a bit more fancy than regular flip flops. They also do sound like regular flip flops, so if you want a quiet sandal these are not for you. They are very cushioned and I can def feel the arch support. You will need to size down at least half size and maybe one whole size. The hardest thing for me was to pick a color! May have to get several pair! Just ordered my mom the dark blue and I know she will love them!!! Highly recommend, especially for the low price! Update: Got the 7 and are still too big. As I said, I got my mom the 6 so I tried them on and they are still a tad too big on me!!! BTW the sizes 8,7.5,7 and the 6 I can hardly see any difference whatsoever! They don't come in 5 1/2 so I am sending the 7 back for a 6 and keeping those just because they are so darn cute and comfortable! I also don't have a very thick foot so I wish the straps were a tad tighter, but I will deal with it. So, to sum up: Be sure to size down at least one size and maybe even two. Returns are easy, so maybe try a few different sizes! I haven't worn a size 6 since I was in about the 6th grade, so not sure what is going on with the sizing. Oh yeah, I did get three different colors and the sizing was the same with all three. HTH! Good luck!
