Growth Habit: Upright, bushy growth to 2 feet height, with sturdy, branching stems, oblong leaves, and sprays of 1” blooms.

Sun Requirements: Full fun

Soil Preference: Average, well drained soil. 

When to Plant: Sow seeds outdoors in early Spring when frost is still possible OR start indoors 3 weeks before last frost. 

How to Plant: 

Direct sow:  Sow seeds outdoors in soil ⅛” deep and lightly cover. Seeds should germinate in 10-14 days. Thin young plants to 9” apart. Plant in succession every 2-3 weeks until midsummer to prolong harvest. 

Transplant: sow seeds indoors in flats or containers in soil ⅛” deep and cover lightly.  Seeds should germinate in 10-14 days. Harden off seedlings before transplanting after the last frost. Space plants to 9” apart.

When / How to Harvest: Pick stems when only a couple blooms are open.

Uses: Pink Soapwort cut flower and bouquet filler.
