dracula plant indoor Black Dracula Orchid Starter Grow Kit ~ Stocking Stuffers ~ Fun Projec – Your Plant BitchThe orchid genus Dracula, abbreviated as Drac in horticultural trade, consists of 118 species native to Mexico, Central America, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. The name Dracula literally means "little dragon", an allusion to the mythical Count Dracula, a lead character in numerous vampire novels and films. The name was applied to the orchid because of the blood red color of several of the species, and the strange aspect of the long spurs of the sepals.

🧛‍♀️Black Dracula Orchid Grow and Care Instructions🧛‍♂️

*Please Note: Orchid seeds are extremely tiny, careful when opening!!! I recommend cutting the baggie under the ziplock part this will help prevent the seeds from getting stuck in the ziplock bag’s tracks.

~ Grow Instructions ~
Sowing requirement: Bottle and agar, need to sterilize all and treat it like lab to work with clean gloves and mask, and led light it’s important.
Another way to grow from seeds but less chance of germinate Orchid soil or coconut soil need to sterilize in the microwave and also the container but if it’s not possible microwave need to put in hot water, 20C-25C day, high humidity 65%+, soil sphagnum moss with little bark but better to use flask.
Before planting need to know: Seeds small like dust and most of the seller sale fake seeds, bigger than this it’s just seeds of something else, really hard to find real seeds to buy, and to grow them also hard, because that seeds require a lot in order to germinate.
Saving seeds until sowing: Dry location in dark, seeds don’t have long shelf life.
Sowing season: Spring / Summer / Autumn, mostly it needs to be sown in the right temperature.
Planting spacing: It’s impossible to know how many seeds you have try to move the powder for few pots
Depth of Sowing: On the soil better not to cover, but better to cover the pot with plastic wrap that will keep the humidity and moist.
Conditions for seeds germinate: High humidity 80%+
Watering requires for Seeds: Average amount of water – better not pour water seeds are small and can be washed down, when cover the plant plastic wrap better not to open it, so better to water from the bottom of the pot to let the soil absorb the water and take the water out when finish watering.
Germination time: At least 4 weeks
Condition of seedling: Like mature plant, but better to spray the water and not pour.

~ Care Instructions ~
The perfect environment for the Black Dracula Orchid includes:
* Deep shade
* High humidity
* Cool temperatures
* Hardiness zones 9-11
It comes down to hacking the perfect equation of humidity, temperature, and circulation.
Outdoors
If you live in hardiness zones 9-11 you may be able to grow this wonder in your garden outdoors. This is a warm subtropical type climate. In the United States, the hardiness zones 9-11 are located along the West Coast and the southern states. You’ll achieve the best results with a nighttime temperature ranging 40-45 degrees and a day time temperature averaging 68 degrees. Humidity should remain around 80%.
Indoors
Much easier to control conditions, many orchid growers prefer to keep their plants indoors. However, with the high humidity needs of the Black Dracula Orchid, it is probably best suited for greenhouse residence. One of the most important factors to replicate in the indoor growing world for these orchids is air circulation.
Especially considering the high humidity, proper air circulation will be essential to preventing root rot. To maintain adequate humidity, some growers like to keep their pots above a shallow tray of water, then move them to hang once they are about to flower.
Soil For Your Black Dracula Orchid
It’s important to use orchid-specific soil for your plant. Soils that are made for orchids will be able to hold moisture but drain rapidly and provide adequate circulation and airflow. The mix should be bark-forward to best replicate an orchid’s origin environment.

Fertilizing Black Dracula Orchids
Feeding your orchid extra nutrients is a great way to ensure you get the best bloom from the healthiest plant. Compared to other types of plants, orchids don’t need as much fertilizer to prosper. You’ll see labels that reference the term “NPK”, an acronym for the essential trace elements of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. The recommended strength of these nutrients for orchids is a mix containing 20-20-20 at the max. Orchids can be fed once a month, but do best when fertilized every week using a diluted solution. The popular term is “feed your orchids weakly, weekly”.
When to fertilize:
* Option 1: fertilize a weak diluted solution weekly
* Option 2: fertilize a standard strength once a month
When NOT to fertilize:
* When your plant is sick: fertilizer won’t do any good.
* When the roots are very dry, the fertilizer could potentially burn the roots.
* Watering Black Dracula Orchids:
By general rule: water your orchid once per week and mist regularly. This will help to replicate its moist and humid environment.
Even though this plant prefers dark and damp conditions, it’s still possible to overwater it. Overwatering happens to be the demise of most housekept orchids!
Your Monkey Face Orchid will do much better being slightly under-watered, but do not let it dry out. The complex root structure is susceptible to rotting in conditions that are too wet. However, due to the absence of Pseudobulbs, this orchid has less ability to hold water and should therefore not be allowed to dry out.

Tips to abide by when watering your orchid:
* Don’t overwater!
* Always water in the morning
* Pay attention to the orchid
How To Water Your Orchid
1. Find a container that will fit your orchid pot and fill it with water. Let it sit for 24 hours, or better yet, collect rainwater to use.
2. Place the orchid into this vessel, making sure the level of the water is just below the top of the orchid pot.
3. Let soak for 15 minutes.
4. Remove the orchid pot and set it in the sink to drain off excess.
Light For Your Black Dracula Orchid
You can conclude what type of climates these plants prefer by acknowledging their highland origins. The Black Dracula Orchid thrives in cool dim environments and it does not like bright light.
Ideal Humidity
Remember that the origin of the Black Dracula Orchid is in the cloud forests of South America. So, you can imagine the type of humidity it needs to have constant exposure to. Along with that cool dark environment that the plant prefers, they also need consistent moist and humid conditions.
Repotting
After several years of growing, your plant might become too big for its pot.
At this time, you’ll want to repot your orchid to give it more space and avoid the roots getting cramped. It’s likely that your orchids will need repotting every 2 years to maintain optimal health. The best time to repot is right after your orchid has finished flowering and is preparing to start new growth.
Signs it’s time to repot:
* Overgrown roots
* The plant is looking cramped and too small for a container
* Roots are beginning to rot (though this might be a sign of other stress or disease)
* The potting medium is breaking down or decomposing

You’ll want to follow a specific method when repotting your orchid. You must sterilize pots and tools before the task.
Sterilize your pots and tools by:
1. Washing your hands
2. In a well-ventilated area, mix 1/2 cup cleaning solution to 1-gallon water
3. Soak pots and tools in this solution for at least 5 minutes
This sanitization process is important when repotting your plant. Orchids are very sensitive to bacteria and you want to make sure you provide a clean and ideal environment. Once you’re ready to move your orchid, choose a pot that’s one size larger than the old one.

The Perfect Digital Watch with all the Bells & Whistles!
Color: Black/Gray
I always buy this kind of watch, and so does my adult daughter. It has a timer, 3 alarm settings, push button light, easy to set, and other features that I don't use, like, track timers, Occasion settings, Beeps & Chimes, On or Off. I use it for timing my Laundry, taking pills, timing things in the kitchen. I just can't live without it! My daughter used it for timing on her Breast Feeding Schedule, so no matter what room she was in, or what she was doing, she would always hear that alarm!

First and foremost, the watch's design is sleek and unisex, making it suitable for a variety of wrist sizes and both casual and sporty occasions. The 34mm face strikes a perfect balance, providing clear visibility of the time without feeling bulky on the wrist. One of the standout features of this timepiece is its reliability. The Ironman Classic 30 lives up to its name with a water resistance of up to 100 meters, making it suitable for swimming and other water-based activities. The durable resin strap and casing can withstand the wear and tear of an active lifestyle, ensuring longevity. The watch's functionality is where it truly shines. The digital display is easy to read, and the Indiglo backlight is a game-changer in low-light conditions. The 30-lap memory is a handy feature for tracking workouts or laps in the pool, while the countdown timer and alarm add practicality for daily use. Setting and adjusting the time and date are straightforward, thanks to the user-friendly interface. The watch also offers a dual time zone feature, making it a great companion for travelers. The Best for Athletics
Color: Black/Gray
This is a sleek, light wristwatch that will not weigh you down with its bulk. Forget the gigantic profile of a "survivalist" wristwatch. This unisex model is svelte and slim, not adding much to the wake you generate while swimming, or the swing of your arms while running, or the wind as it passes around your wrists and hands while you are speeding by on your racing bike. This is only 34mm across, by 35mm tall, by 11.5mm thick. The wristband is 13mm at its median working width. Timex styling cannot be beat, and neither is the resin-rubber-like material. I don't know about you, but the price is something I take a good look at. I want a watch that is reasonably priced and high-quality. I don't want to spend $200 to $1000 on a watch and worrying about being careful with it. If it gets smashed, it's only $30 to $50, not a big loss, and the quality is way better than what they were making in the 1980's. These watches are made for athletics and the real world.

Great watch, flimsy band
Color: Gray/Lilac
I bought this watch to replace a similar model because the band broke. I see this is a recurrent problem in many other reviews. However, I liked the watch enough to buy it again anyway. I found the new model easy to set, being fairly intuitive. So far it keeps perfect time. I use this watch mainly as a travel watch, and loved the dual time zone function. I am pleased that the newer model now has the ability to set 3 times zones instead of 2, which is an added bonus. The only con I see at this point is the flimsy strap. Unfortunately, the strap on this model is even thinner than on the previous one, and I wonder how long it will last. Also I wonder about the battery length. I think these watches may have been sitting around a long time. The setting showed 2012. I am afraid much of the battery life of the original battery may have already been used up and the battery may need replacing early. Only time will tell. The watch fits my small wrist fine and it is a little more attractive than the old model. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the band problem.
