About Me
Unfurl a touch of timeless elegance with the Asplenium antiquum 'Osaka,' also known as the Japanese Bird's Nest Fern. This easy-care fern features a single, upright rosette of long, slender fronds with a distinctive ruffled edge. The rich green, glossy foliage creates a lush, textured display, adding a touch of natural beauty to any room.
A compact and slow-growing variety, the Asplenium antiquum 'Osaka' is perfect for tabletops, shelves, or terrariums. Its air purifying qualities and low-maintenance needs make it a popular choice for plant enthusiasts of all levels.
Plant Height: 50cm
Pot Width: 17cm
Care Instructions
The Asplenium antiquum 'Osaka' thrives with a little TLC:
- Light: Prefers moderate, indirect light. Avoid harsh, direct sun or deep shade. An east or north-facing window is ideal.
- Water: Water thoroughly during the growing season, allowing the top inch of soil to dry slightly between waterings. Reduce watering in the winter. Avoid overwatering, which can cause root rot.
- Humidity: Appreciates moderate humidity. Regular misting or placing the pot on a pebble tray filled with water can help.
- Toxicity: Non-toxic to pets and humans.
Bellr Bonus Tip:
Avoid handling the newly emerging fronds, as they are delicate. Repot your Asplenium antiquum 'Osaka' every few years when it becomes root-bound.
Bellr Bonus Tip:
The Areca Palm is a natural air purifier that helps to remove common toxins from your indoor environment. Breathe easy and enjoy the beauty of this tropical friend!
