The Moroccan Mound Cactus (Euphorbia resinifera) is a striking, clumping succulent native to Morocco, known for forming dense, low-growing mounds of upright, four-sided stems. Its geometric structure and vibrant green color make it a standout in desert landscapes.
Despite its cactus-like appearance, it is actually a Euphorbia, not a true cactus. Over time, it spreads outward to create a compact mound that can reach several feet wide, making it perfect for ground coverage or as a bold accent plant.
Its clean, architectural look pairs beautifully with boulders, agaves, and other desert plants—adding texture and visual interest to any xeriscape design.
