Lavender Tip: Plant on the windward side of your property to encourage the incredible fragrance to flow through your home.
Light Requirements: All Day Sun.
Moisture & Soil Requirements: Lavender likes deep infrequent watering. They prefer well-draining soils. Plants are more robust when mature and more established.
Growth & Nutrients: Small shrub reaching around 50cm, suitable for medium-large containers and as formal or informal garden borders or specimens. Plant 30-50cm apart.
- Prune once per year after blooms have finished, this will prevent the plant from becoming too woody and help produce more soft green growth and flowers. If you get a second flush of flowers in autumn, do not trim back again in frosty areas.
- Only fertilise lavender lightly in springtime and use slow-release granules for containers plus, if they're in the ground, add sheep pellets and compost. Choose a balanced fertiliser without too much Nitrogen which will encourage green growth, use one for flowering plants to encourage blooms.
Temperature, Humidity & Ambient requirements: A hardy perennial shrub that tolerates a range of conditions, this variety does not tolerate frost.
Toxicity: Non toxic.
