Canna lilies (Canna spp.) are known for their bold and tropical-looking foliage, as well as their vibrant and showy flowers. However, it's important to note that Cannas are typically grown from rhizomes, not bulbs. Here's a description of Canna lily rhizomes and their characteristics:

  1. Rhizome Shape and Size: The Canna lily rhizome is a swollen, fleshy underground stem that stores nutrients for the plant. It is typically thick and can vary in size depending on the age and variety of the plant.
  2. Color: Canna rhizomes are often a light tan to dark brown color. The outer layer may have a papery covering that can be easily removed.
  3. Growth Points: On the rhizome, you'll find nodes or "eyes" from which new shoots and roots emerge. These are the points from which the plant will grow.
  4. Buds and Shoots: As the rhizome begins to sprout, buds develop into shoots that eventually emerge from the soil. The shoots will grow into the tall, sturdy stems of the Canna plant.
  5. Foliage: Canna lilies are prized for their large, paddle-shaped leaves that can be green, burgundy, or variegated, depending on the variety.
  6. Flower Characteristics: Canna lily flowers are large and resemble orchids. They come in a variety of colors, including shades of red, orange, yellow, and pink. Some cultivars have bi-colored or speckled flowers.
  7. Blooming Season: Cannas typically bloom in late spring to early fall, producing colorful and showy flower spikes that add a tropical touch to gardens.
  8. Height: Depending on the variety, Canna lilies can range in height from a few feet to over six feet, making them a striking focal point in gardens.
  9. Cultural Significance: Cannas are popular ornamental plants in gardens and landscapes. They are known for their easy cultivation, vibrant colors, and the tropical feel they bring to outdoor spaces.

All this talk of Jakku and not a single worthwhile image of it.
Format: Paperback
This was a total disorganized mess that bears no resemblance to Star Wars at all. The art is puerile at best and some characters bear a passing resemblance to Luke and Leia. The dialogue is nonsense and reads nothing like the characters would speak. The plot is a ridiculous compilation of double crosses that make no sense at all. The Imperials don’t act like Imperials and the endless plethora of new characters and planets make for an exhausting and tedious read. Finally, the story doesn’t really mesh with that other ridiculous trilogy of books by Chuck Wendig. Real Star Wars writers were needed like James Luceno or Timothy Zahn. I wouldn’t recommend this to my worst enemy. Life is short. Stick to writers with a proven track record and stories that reflect Lucas’ vision not the Disney disorder. Oh for the days when Dark Horse told exciting tales and had great artists. Marvel seems to be just interested in squeezing money out of the name and not creating a meaningful legacy.

Absolute Slop
Format: Paperback
This is likely the worst Star Wars graphic novel/story in the history of the medium. Absolute slop.

Better Than The Sequel Trilogy
Format: Kindle
This comic story really helps in the effort to fix the newest movie trilogy. The comic is stellar.

A must read for Kylo fans
Format: Kindle
I'm so sad this was only about 100 pages. This gave clarity to the choppy movie origin story of Kylo Ren while filling some major movie plot holes. Angsty, heart wrenching and dark -- the perfect intro for our favorite emo space boy. The art style was really great without being too gory. Adam Driver fans will also be pretty pleased with the likeness (it's not exact, but still good).

Really good read, and leaves questions
Format: Paperback
Nice to see the Ben Solo story flushed out more than what was shown in The Last Jedi and The Rise Of Skywalker. A good job also of not explaining everything. Ben mentions something about what Skywalker did to Snoke, and then there's the Emperor himself speaking to Ben in his mind, which makes one wonder, if even the Emperor was his own voice in Ben's head, why didn't Kylo recognize him in The Rise Of Skywalker. Plenty of things left to really expand upon this very good story.
