Dracaena goldieana brings a bold, tropical feel indoors with broad, arching leaves patterned in layered green and silvery cream. The foliage has a beautifully striped, almost hand-painted look that gives this plant plenty of movement and texture, while its upright cane growth keeps the overall shape clean and sculptural.
This is a dracaena for anyone who loves foliage with presence. It suits bright interiors, pairs beautifully with warm timber and neutral pots, and adds a lush collector touch without feeling fussy. Given the right spot, it settles into a steady, elegant indoor rhythm.
| Position | Best in bright, indirect light. It will appreciate a well-lit room out of harsh direct sun, which can mark the foliage. Keep it away from deep shade for the best colour and growth. |
| Temperature | Prefers warm indoor conditions, ideally around 18–26°C. Protect from cold drafts and avoid letting it sit in temperatures below about 15°C. |
| Water | Water when the top layer of the potting mix has started to dry. Keep the mix lightly moist but never soggy, and be a little more restrained in cooler months. |
| Fertiliser | Feed during spring and summer with a diluted indoor plant fertiliser every 4–6 weeks if you want to encourage stronger growth. Hold off through winter. |
| Repotting | Repot only when it has become established and rootbound, usually into the next size up with a free-draining indoor potting mix. Dracaenas generally prefer not to be over-potted. |
| Pet Friendly | No — dracaenas are considered toxic to pets if chewed or ingested. |
