A collaboration born of a shared love of craftsmanship and quiet sophistication, New Balance’s latest Made in UK silhouette, the Allerdale, gets the Drake’s treatment, reinterpreted in classic materials, with subtle detailing, and a keen eye on longevity and comfort.
Think of it as the walking shoe’s urbane cousin: well-travelled, well-made, and made for wearing, well.
Made in Flimby, Cumbria, and named for the historic district that has been home to New Balance’s Made in UK line since the early 90’s, an upper composed of a patchwork of pigskin, leather, and Japanese ripstop nylon, sits atop a FuelCell-equipped sole, and is finished with an embroidered logo and hiking-inspired D-ring lacing for a touch of mountaineering flair.
Smart enough for Soho, sturdy enough for the Lakes.
